This is a new Yarn Winder from Artisan that is well balanced and made of very durable nylon-type plastic. The clamp is centered under the base and has a solid grip on the table. The two feeding arms are weighted and balanced perfectly so it takes little effort to wind quantities of yarn. Unfortunately, this winder comes with only one cone and will hold (5) 50-gram balls or yarn. Extra cones are not available.

In addition, there is an electric cone winder that will also hold (10) 50-gram balls and retails for $275. This winder allows you to use the cardboard cones you have from received with other coned yarns and winds cones in a true conical shape.
