LANA GROSSA BABY KID MOHAIR SHAWL

This is the pattern of a Baby Kid Mohair Shawl that appeared in Vogue Knitting.  It was in the public domain and a free pattern, so it is quite acceptable for you to copy it from this site and use it.  However, it should not be used to make a shawl for resale.

With larger needle, CO 100 sts. Work in st st for 60". BO loosely.

Ruffle: Using smaller needle, with RS facing, pick up and K 233 sts along one long side. Change to larger needle.

Row 4: K2, * inc 1, K7, repeat from * to end of row — 299 sts.
Row 6: K2, * inc 1, K8, repeat from * to end of row — 332 sts.
Row 8: K2, * inc 1, K9, repeat from * to end of row — 365 sts.
Row 10: K2, * inc 1, K10, repeat from * to end of row — 398 sts.
Row 12: K2, * inc 1, K11, repeat from * to end of row — 431 sts.
Row 14: K2, * inc 1, K12, repeat from * to end of row — 464 sts.
Row 16: K2, * inc 1, K13, repeat from * to end of row — 497 sts.
Row 18: K2, * inc 1, K14, repeat from * to end of row — 530 sts.
Row 20: BO loosely.

Repeat along other long side.

Using smaller needle, with RS facing, pick up and K 100 sts along one short end. Change to larger needle.
