What makes their yarns so unique?

SOY SILK™ is an environmentally friendly fiber made from the waste of the Tofu Manufacturing process. INGEO , introduced in March 2003, is made in the USA from CORN. The actual manufacturing process is similar to SOY SILK™. The poly lactic acid is removed from the corn and processed into a liquid. The liquid is then extruded into long continuous fibers, cut, and competed into top form. INGEO is sharp white in color, soft, and shiny. The staple is long, making it easy to spin.   1 pound = $24
 

 
BAMBOO  from South West Trading Company is of an outstanding quality. This fiber is made by grinding, wringing, and then combing the actual pulp from bamboo plants. (Did you know bamboo is actually a grass and can grow to over 100ft tall?) . Nothing else is added to the fiber......just bamboo!  In hand, this fiber is cool, silky soft, and spins easily. Often compared to a high quality ramie, BAMBOO is hard to resist.  Our BAMBOO yarn is now available in 16 colors!   1 pound = $56
 

 
SILK LATTE™ was introduced in MAY 2003.  This incredible fiber is made from MILK! Like Soy Silk,  you will find SILK LATTE™ is a treat to spin. We think its even softer than Soy Silk™.  This fiber is made from proteins in milk then extruded like Soy Silk™.  Look for SILK LATTE YARNS soon!  1 pound = $80
 

 
OPTIM and OPTIMUM YARNS was introduced in 2004. Made from high quality Merino Wool and using equipment called OPTIM, the resulting fiber and our yarn are 16 micron. This means you won't be able to tell it from Cashmere! The OPTIM staple is long and luxurious. OPTIMUM yarn is available in 10 colors... and is a privilege to knit. Look for OPTIMUM this fall in fine yarn stores nationwide and fabulous new patterns from SWTC.  1 pound = $80
