TYPES OF NEEDLES
•  Silvalume - is a soft, pastel-colored aluminum needle which is polished for extra smoothness.
•  Quicksilver - is a plastic shaft coated with a grey powder finish. The Quicksilver finishing process smooths the shaft surface, which helps stitches slide effortlessly on and off the needle shaft. Despite the plastic shaft, the coating gives these circulars the same smoothness as the straight aluminum Quicksilver needles.

•  Silverado needles have been discontinued and are no longer available.

Bamboo Single Point Knitting Needles 13" Bamboo needles are preferred by some knitters because they feel warm to the touch and are quieter than metal needles.  Bamboo tends to improve with age so that stitches slide effortlessly.  Bamboo needles also tend to weigh less than aluminum, especially in the larger sizes.
