The samples below are shown in Bon Bon. Different
fiber types may appear slightly different, as some dye more intensely and some
are more muted. As with all hand-dyed yarns, dye lots may vary. It
is ALWAYS suggested that you purchase enough yarn in the same dye lot
in your initial purchase because PRISM cannot guarantee matches to prior dye
lots.
The solid colors are referred to as "sand-washed" because they are kettle dyed and purposely allowed to have tone-on-tone variations within each strand. The subtle shading imparts a look similar to sand-washing on denim, and is reminiscent of suede. The colors have been developed to complement Stuff® and hand dyed colors. Many find that factory-dyed solids are harsh when paired with Prism hand dyes, and these solids are the perfect answer. Most of the yarns can be obtained in this solid range. As with all hand-dyed yarns, dye lots may vary and different fibers may take the colors slightly differently.
