HELICOPTER
TRIM
- This is a trim developed by Gini Woodward of Gini's Knits.
- The helicopter trim is a variation of the Worm Trim.
- Using the same techniques as described in the Worm Trim, after
picking up 3 stitches and knitting 8 rows, you then twist the fabric (or the stitches) 360
degrees once or twice, depending upon how tight you want the twist to look. With a large
afghan or blanket, it will probably be easier to simply take the stitches off the machine
onto a 3-prong transfer tool and twist the stitches rather than twisting the entire piece
you are edging.
